What do you think about MIDGES?
Do you call them MIDGES or MIDGIES?
What do you do to AVOID BEING STUNG BY MIDGES/MIDGIES IN SCOTLAND?
WHEN is the best/worst time for them IN SCOTLAND?
Yours, a keen midge enthusiast, The US of A

Skin So Soft I accidentally sprayed loads of that in my eyes last year. It really stung. And I still seemed to get covered in MIDGES/MIDGIES

Skin so soft might be bollocks. I'm all about deet with that stuff. Mainly cause it feels hardcore. I bet it's absolutely terrible for breathing in and the environment
but I've just stopped caring. I'm open to someone pointing out I'm a cunt and altering my perception of deet if anyone's bothered enough. Cheers.

I've seen it mentioned when I've looked into Midgeproofing. It must be some hardcore shit right? Deet. Fucking stupid name, anyway.

I'd like to temporarily take that back, because it's probably an acronym. It's an acronym isn't it?

I'd like to temporarily take that back, because it's probably an acronym. It's an acronym isn't it? More of a shortening - diethyltoluamide - is its full title. I also like it because it feels all American and proper Vietnam. I had a look and it doesn't actually seem that bad from a health and environment point of view, not as bad as I thought anyway.

I'll tell you what, it reads great.
Developed during the 2nd world war, they thought that your bugs were sort of blinded by it, like it masked sweat and stuff that gave us away as biteable beings but they've recently found out that they fucking hate the smell and it really is a foul repellant to bugs.
Good eh? Let's all spray ourselves with Deet.
Probably best to was our hands if we're preparing any food.
