I'm not an expert... but not convinced that moths are equipped for self-pleasure. Otherwise, they are just doing their thing, surely? Eating your clothes, headbutting sources of light...
Anyway, think the trick is just to pull everything out and wash now and then, even if you're not using? And I keep old grandpa jumpers and things, that are particularly tempting to moths, in plastic bags.
